I don't know, Van Persie's a little out there. I read something over the summer that said he stopped eating fast food b/c he thinks it was the cause of so many injuries and delayed his recovery time. I don't think he was a fast food junkie or anything. Shit, Chad Ochocinco probably eats every meal from McDonald's.
On another note, for you Euro snobs, MLS Cup is Sunday. LA vs. RSL. As much as I love to hate Beckham it's definitely a good thing for the league that LA is in the championship, and probably a better thing if they win it. And as much as I hate Chicago, it would have also been better (for the league) for them to have beaten RSL, with the star power of the Hunchback of Bridgeview and McBride going against Landycakes and Goldenballs.
We'll see what happens. I do love me some Yura Movsisyan, too bad he's gone after this game.
Bargaining agreements have been going on for a while. Hopefully the salary cap will be at least doubled, minimum salaries raised to at least something halfway decent like 35k. If the MLS is serious about competing in international competitions it needs to expand the roster sizes as well (in addition to increasing the salary cap). If the MLS really wants to grow it's gonna have to stop losing players to leagues in Scandinavia that aren't any better but can are paying 2,3, or 4 times as much as the MLS.
