^That^ scene was one of my favorites in the first installment of the LotR films. I was uber-pleased (mostly in my pants) that they chose Liv Tyler to play the character (I ended up REALLY LIKING her performance), but I was also pretty enamored with the sword they designed for her.

United Cutlery won the licensing rights for the LotR franchise, & almost immediately set about producing a surprisingly high quality line of swords - - - all of which cost a bit more than I felt like paying. So I didn't. That was several years ago.

So the other day I came across a guy whose teenaged son had run up a giant (& apparently unacceptable) cell phone bill, & in order to pay it off, the father was selling some of his son's collectibles; one of which was one of the licensed replicas of "Hadhafang" (Arwen's sword). He stated the sword was in perfect shape & would be shipped in the original box/packing. OH, & he was selling it for $40, which is less than 1/4 the original retail price. \m/ \m/

Anyway, I received it today, & thought I'd take some pix of it:
